Immersion. 2011

IMMERSION - method for determining the refractive index of the isolated solids.

In this series the Cherkashin's fascination for light and water is expressed by a dancer's movements. The ambiguity of familiar poses becomes distorted when her environment changes. She is no longer in control and seeks to find control, but is thwarted by her immersion. This presents another form of expression that is also defined by nature.
